  1. What Is Internet Banking
    Internet Banking is one of the fastest, most convenient ways to access your accounts. Using your unique Customer ID and password, you can perform banking transactions online, whenever and wherever you want, from any PC with Internet access.

  2. What are the different Banking service requests that I can make online?
    You can make online transactions, view your account balance, last n transactions, Order a new cheque book ,Stop a cheque ,enquire about status of cheque, Open a Fixed Deposit account, Open a Recurring Deposit account, Apply for DD/PO, Fund Transfer etc!!

  3. How Safe Is Internet Banking?
    Industry-accepted security practices along with multi-level authentication system have been put in place to authenticate your identity when you access your Internet Banking account

  4. Can I have only one Customer ID for all Bank relationships?
    Yes, you can link all your Bank accounts under one ID provided if other accounts are opened under same Customer ID. However there are certain rules in account where there is a joint holding.

  5. I have forgotten/ not received my Customer ID and Password, how can I obtain them?
    If you have forgotten your Internet Banking Customer ID or have not yet received it, please check your passbook first page or account statement or call our 24 Hour Customer Care Centre to get the same. All you will need to do is authenticate yourself and ask for your Customer Id. Existing Net Banking user can generate new password online if they have forgotten the same. However new registrant or accessing net banking first time should contact Base branch and get the new password (I-Pin mailer). Your passwords cannot be given on telephone for security reasons.

OTP And Passwords

  1. What happens if I forgot my login password?
    Click on the 'Forgot password' link in the site and provide the requested information. A new password will be sent to your registered Mobile No. New registrant or accessing net banking first time should contact Base branch and get the new password (I-Pin mailer). Your passwords cannot be given on telephone for security reasons.

  2. Can I change my password ?
    Passwords can be changed any time and any number of times. In fact we recommend that your password should be changed periodically to secure access to your account information.

  3. What happens if I do not log out?
    Please ensure to log out when you finish your internet banking session. However, if you abruptly close your internet banking page, your session will end

  4. How many passwords do I have for Internet Banking?
    There are two passwords : Login Password and OTP (One Time Pin) Login Password - A login password as the name suggests is required for logging in. OTP : It is a One Time Password that you receive on your registered mobile phone.

  5. What is the procedure to change the password?
    Step 1 : Click on the “forgot Password” link provided on the login page.
    Step 2 : Enter your customer ID in the text box and press the ‘Validate’ button.
    Step 3 : Press the validate button to authenticate your identity. After successful authentication you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile phone.
    Step 4 : Log in with your Customer ID and the temporary password i.e.OTP. You will be redirected to the Reset Password page.
    Step 5 : Enter your temporary password as your old password and continue with the process.

Virtual Keyboard

  1. What is a Virtual Keyboard?
    Virtual Keyboard is an online keyboard to be used with the help of a mouse which provides facility for entering your Login ID and password instead of using the regular keyboard.

  2. What are the advantages of a Virtual Keyboard ?
    A virtual keyboard prevents your username or password from being stolen, especially while using public computers such as those available in Internet browsing centers. Virtual Keyboard is an additional precautionary measure designed to protect you against malicious key logger programs which might have infected your computer. A key logger program can capture the keystrokes you enter in the physical keyboard to login. Such type of programs may be accessing your PC without your knowledge or permission. Hence, use of Virtual keyboard will reduce the risk of theft of Login ID and password.

  3. How to use the Virtual Keyboard?
    Click on ‘Enable Virtual Keyboard’ then a keyboard will popup on the screen. By default the virtual keyboard will be clicked. Now using the mouse click on the respective alphabets or numbers to enter your Customer ID. After entering the ID and Hint Question click on Password field and now click on respective alphabets or numbers of the Virtual keyboard to enter your password. After this click on submit button. You can use back key to clear the last character / number entered. If you do not wish to use Virtual Keyboard deselect ‘Show Virtual Keyboard’.

  4. When should I use the Virtual Keyboard?
    The Virtual keyboard should ideally be used at all times, especially when you are logging in from a computer that is not yours OR in a public area like a cybercafe.

  5. Is it mandatory to use the Virtual Keyboard?
    No, it is not mandatory to use virtual keyboard. It is optional only. You can use the normal keyboard or the combination of both normal and virtual keyboard also to enter your login ID and password.
